If I Could Go Back, I’d Go Back To SHERIDAN!
The way I would personally Describe my neighbourhood based on my perspective is with the word, entertaining. I would say living here really helped me shape my personality and interests by giving me many opportunities to explore different activities and cultures. The reason why I specifically chose this word for my neighbourhood is because my neighbourhood consists of many different physical activities, and a lot of cultural inclusion. For example, my house is located towards the end of the neighborhood itself. As shown on the map I drew, there’s many different units located in a plaza called Van Mills Centre that are about a 2 minute walk. In that plaza there is a subway, wings shop, shawarma place, Asian cuisine, pizza place and so much more. With all these food places, I’ve felt that these food places let me have the chance to taste many different dishes and actually helped me build my perspective on what foods I like and dislike. Moving on to the physical activity portion of my neighbourhood, there is a golf course and volleyball court located at the mall called Sherwood Village about 7 minutes away from my home. The volleyball court was a huge portion of my childhood. That court actually made me enjoy the sport so much, I’ve managed to find interest in actually playing on a team itself. My neighbourhood had lots of recreational activities, such as swimming pools, parks and playgrounds, outdoor basketball, and courts. With all this recreation, me and many other children were able to gain skills and make friends which made our community feel more welcoming and comfortable. Another thing was that I was never bored at all, lots of units in my area change and switch out which makes me and everyone else in my neighbourhood excited to see what new was going to be entering the Sheridan neighbourhood.
